Ronald M. Griffith
President & CEO

Mr. Griffith is President & CEO of Century Housing. Prior to that, Mr. Griffith served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel. Before joining Century, he served as Of Counsel to a 400-attorney national law firm, Arter & Hadden, LLP, specializing in all aspects of real estate law. He also established the office of general counsel at Union Federal Bank and Uni-Cal Financial Corporation.

From 1973 through 1977, Mr. Griffith served as Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Mr. Griffith earned his law degree in 1973 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, Philadelphia.

Mr. Griffith was the recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart, for his service in Vietnam.


Alan R. Hoffman
Senior Vice President,
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hoffman is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Century Housing and its affiliates. With 20 years of experience in management and finance, Mr. Hoffman is responsible for all corporate finance, risk management, investments, financial planning, tax, HR and IT functions.

Mr. Hoffman has spearheaded capital markets and corporate finance functions for such companies as Exxon Corporation, GM-Hughes Electronics, Kaufman & Broad Home Corporation, and Lockheed Martin Finance Corporation. He currently serves on the Board of the National Association of Affordable Housing Lenders.

Mr. Hoffman received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Political Science and International Economics from the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Social Systems' Science from UCLA. He has also instructed as an adjunct professor of finance in Pepperdine University's M.B.A. program and at UCLA Extension.

Mr. Hoffman first moved to Los Angeles in 1976 and is active in the Los Angeles finance community.


Stephen Peelor
Senior Vice President,
Lending

Mr. Peelor is the Senior Vice President of Lending at Century. He has originated more than $30.4 million in loans and credit enhancements for the development of 2,800 workforce and low-income affordable multifamily units. Mr. Peelor is also the Vice President of Century Community Development, Inc., an affiliate of Century Housing. Century Community provides opportunities for banks and other financial institutions to receive Community Reinvestment Act credit through participation in Century Housing’s and Century Community’s financing activities.

Prior to his employment at Century Housing, Mr. Peelor worked as a Credit Analyst in the Government Lending Department of City National Bank, where he originated and underwrote new loans totaling $11.2 million and managed the performance of a $68 million portfolio for small business commercial and real estate loans. Mr. Peelor also developed new financial products available to nonprofit corporate borrowers, to complement the Department’s array of Federal and state government-guaranteed loan products.

Mr. Peelor is a veteran of the United States Navy, having served from 1987 to 1993. He is a graduate of New York University, with a Masters in Public Administration from The Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Bachelor of Arts in Metropolitan Studies.


Karen
Bennett-Green

Vice President,
Loan Administration

Ms. Bennett-Green, Vice President of Loan Administration, is responsible for managing Century Housing’s loan portfolio. She has over 15 years of real estate loan experience, including commercial, multifamily, and affordable niches. She has extensive experience in working with tax credit terms, tax-exempt bonds, and Fannie Mae “Direct Underwriting Service” transactions. She was a housing specialist for the Housing Authority of the City of Inglewood before going to the Kaufman and Broad Multi-Housing Group in Long Beach where she oversaw all aspects of risk management for Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) of an 8,000-unit Section 42 portfolio.

Ms. Bennett-Green serves as Vice President of the Inglewood YMCA Board of Managers and was the Secretary on the Board of Directors for three years for the Southern California Youth and Family Association. She has been a member of Leader to Leader since 2003.

Ms. Bennett-Green received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Los Angeles.


Rosa Cardona Menart
Vice President and Corporate Controller

Mrs. Cardona Menart is Vice President and Corporate Controller for Century Housing. She has over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mrs. Cardona Menart is responsible for all corporate accounting, treasury functions, investments, and loan accounting. She manages a staff of five, as well as the day-to-day activities of the Finance/Accounting department and loan accounting. She coordinates, formulates, and manages a capital and operational expense budget of $8 million.  Mrs. Cardona Menart coordinates the annual audit of Century and  its 10 affiliates. She oversees the loan accounting department, which is responsible for a loan portfolio of $105 million. She is responsible for monitoring, recording and reconciling the investment portfolio.  Mrs. Cardona Menart is also responsible for financial and compliance reporting.

Prior to her employment at Century Housing, Mrs. Cardona Menart worked as a Planning Assistant to a prominent Financial Advisor at American Express and as a Financial Assistant for a top producing Farmers Insurance agent.

Mrs. Cardona Menart graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Science (with honors) in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.


Steve Colman
Vice President,
Property Operations

As Vice President of Property Operations for Century Housing, Mr. Colman is responsible for all operational aspects of Century-owned properties. Mr. Colman has more than 22 years of experience in the areas of office operations, facilities management, and financial analysis.

In the five years prior to joining Century Housing, Mr. Colman supported the Sr. Director of Global Real Estate and Risk Management at Korn/Ferry International, assisting the office operations in 21 cities across North America and directly managing the office operations of Korn/Ferry's corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Colman was Operations Manager-West Coast for The Conde Nast Publications and from 1986 to 1993, held successive roles as Financial Analyst, Administration Manager, and Director of Administration for Knapp Communications Corporation, then publisher of Architectural Digest and Bon Appetit magazines.

Before moving to the for-profit sector, Mr. Colman spent five years as a caseworker for Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles.

Mr. Colman received his B.A. degree in Sociology from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is active in volunteering for local PTA and Cub Scouts, as well as coaching youth teams in baseball, basketball, and flag football programs.


Fern Hendrickson
Vice President,
Human Resources

Ms. Hendrickson is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute. She is a graduate of California State University, Dominquez Hills where she earned her B.S. in Business Administration with honors. She is an active member of Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Her past employment includes experience with a local microwave engineering firm, sales training and consulting, and two multinational manufacturing organizations.

Past community service includes president of her homeowner’s association, treasurer for a youth symphony orchestra, treasurer of a local high school music boosters program, and volunteering with Girl Scouts.


Aaron Wooler
Vice President,
Financial Products

Aaron Wooler is Vice President of Century Housing’s Financial Products group. Mr. Wooler has originated over $275 million in loans and credit enhancements, which resulted in the development of 4,500 workforce and low income housing units in Southern California.

In addition, Mr. Wooler oversees Century’s largest real estate asset, Century Villages at Cabrillo. Mr. Wooler was responsible for the oversight of two tax credit developments, Long Beach Savannah Housing and Cabrillo Plaza, which are located at Century Villages at Cabrillo. To date, Century has provided $43 million dollars of financing to Century Villages at Cabrillo to develop over 600 beds of permanent supportive housing.

Before joining Century Housing, Mr. Wooler was a Portfolio Associate for Trammell Crow Company, where he was part of the Asset Management group that presided over 4.6 million square feet of Class A office space in Los Angeles.

Mr. Wooler serves as the Planning and Building Subcommittee Chair for the City of Long Beach's 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness. Mr. Wooler is a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business.


Tim O'Connell
Senior Director,
Programs and Policy

As Senior Director, Policy and Advocacy, Mr. O’Connell is responsible for representing the interests of the Corporation, its affiliates, partners and clients at the federal, state and local levels, including matters relating to funding, regulation, and oversight. Mr. O’Connell is Century’s primary liaison with elected representatives, legislative staff, and appointed administrative officials in the on-going effort to assure that meeting the demand for affordable homes and related issues remain public policy priorities.

Prior to coming to Century Housing Corporation, Mr. O’Connell served with the San Diego Housing Commission, the City Manager, and the Mayor of the City of San Diego.

Mr. O’Connell serves on the Boards of Directors of Housing California, Los Angeles Family Housing and the California Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies (CAL-ALHFA), and is a member of the California Affordable Homes Collaborative.

Mr. O’Connell earned his law degree in 1978 from the University of San Diego, and earned his baccalaureate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
